Tips for your first night
- Bring court shoes you don't wear outside. School gyms care about their floors.
- Pay the way they ask. Some take punch cards only, some want cash or check, one says no coins. The listing usually says.
- Expect mixed levels. Rec and pickup sessions tend to rotate teams so everyone plays. If you're rusty, say so, and people will set you up.
- Look for sign-up rules. Some sessions are season passes, some need you registered with the town rec department first.
